Expression of Interest – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artwork for use by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is looking for a unique artwork that:
- Reflects the story of the NDIS Commission, past, present and future.
- Embraces the connection the NDIS Commission has with our participants, including our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.
- Represents the journey we have taken to build trust between our organisation and the communities we service.
About the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is developing a Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan 2023 (RAP) - our formal commitment to reconciliation.
As a young agency in the Commonwealth Government, the Reflect RAP will allow us to assess our current position and commit to initiatives that prioritise reconciliation, laying the groundwork for our future endeavours.
Our interest in reconciliation comes from our people. We believe it is important as a regulator to recognise the lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and how our work can better understand the relationships between the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
This belief applies externally, to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants we safeguard and their families and communities, and internally, to our own team culture and commitment to inclusivity.
The Artwork
The successful submission will be included as the feature artwork in our Reflect RAP, and published (in full or in extract) in other NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission publications and associated marketing material. The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is seeking a two dimensional artwork and the final artwork will be required in high resolution digital format, of at least 300 dpi.
