New grant opportunities support connection between participants and providers

Three new grant opportunities for 2022-2023 have been announced by the Australian Government under the Support for NDIS Providers Grants Program.

This program offers annual grants, to improve connections between NDIS participants and providers, and develop resources and solutions through co-design and consultation with NDIS participants.

In 2022-2023 the program, which is administered by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, has up to $4.589 million (excl. GST) available.

Applications are now open for the following grants:

  • $1.089m to strengthen consultation and participation with people experiencing behaviours of concern and restrictive practices during the development of their NDIS behaviour support plans.
  • Up to $3m in total for multiple grant recipients to develop tools and resources to target and support a cohort of NDIS participants, their families and workers, in exercising choice and control. This grant recognises the diverse needs of NDIS participants, and seeks to develop suitable tools and resources to meet the needs of one such group, and help them understand their rights, make complaints and raise issues.
  • Up to $0.5m to develop and pilot an innovative digital system that facilitates early, efficient and effective complaint resolution, and improves the experience of NDIS participants.
