NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission hosts forum for NDIS Providers in Launceston

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) is visiting Launceston to meet with registered and unregistered NDIS providers.

We will talk about our role and functions and want to hear from providers about how we work together to deliver safer and better NDIS supports and services.

NDIS Commissioner Tracy Mackey, Deputy Commissioner Regulatory Operations Catherine Myers and Mary Mallett, the Interim Disability Commissioner of Tasmania, will speak, and hear from attendees, at the free event in Launceston on Monday, 27 March.

“We are committed to ensuring that the participants’ rights to safe and quality support and services are improved. As part of this, we are making sure that providers and workers, understand and act in accordance with the NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct, and are doing so consistently,” NDIS Commissioner Ms Mackey said.

“The forum is about continuing to build our relationship with all providers, sharing information and learning, and hearing from providers about any challenges they face in complying with their regulatory obligations.

“The NDIS Commission has also recently launched initiatives to improve the ways we operate which will offer clarity to providers, and we will be sharing details of our new Regulatory Approach, the outcomes of our Inquiry into Supported Accommodation and the latest developments in our Workforce Capability Framework.”

We encourage providers, advocates and registered disability organisations to register to attend at bit.ly/NQSC27Mar
