Easy Read: Provider registration application (New portal) Part 1 – About this guide

This guide is for providers who want to register with the NDIS. 

A provider is a person or business that sells support or services to NDIS participants.

To register means you apply and get official approval to deliver these supports.

A registered provider has done these 4 things:

1. Asked the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) to register them.

2. Met the NDIS Practice Standards. 

NDIS Practice Standards are the quality and safety rules you must follow when supporting participants.

3. Passed a safety check to show the business and its managers are fit to run it.

4. Received a certificate of registration.

Providers are usually registered for 3 years.

There are 2 parts to register your business with us.

Part 1 is a first check. 

It checks if your business is ready.

Part 2 is a deeper check. 

It checks if you follow the NDIS Practice Standards.
