Privacy Notice and Agreement for the Training Portal
Purpose
This Privacy Collection Notice is for the purpose of accessing the Training Portal of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission, we or our).
The notice explains how the NDIS Commission handles personal information in accurse with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Why is your personal information being collected?
The NDIS Commission is collecting your personal information for the purpose of accessing the Training Portal. We use your personal information to create your NDIS Commission Training Portal account and to allow you to access and participate in available courses.
What personal information is being collected?
The NDIS Commission will collect your personal information, including your:
- first and last name
- email address
- city/town, or country, and
- additional information - we may also collect your employment status and other details about your employment for the purpose of inviting you to participate in specific courses or surveys.
What would happen if the NDIS Commission did not collect your personal information?
If the NDIS Commission does not collect your personal information (i.e. your email address, and first and last name), we will be unable to create your Portal Training account.
How will the NDIS Commission use or disclose my personal information?
We may need to disclose your personal information to third party service providers who assist us with the Training Portal, the development or delivery of our courses.
The NDIS Commission may use or disclose personal information for a secondary purpose, particularly if a permitted general situation exists and if we are required or authorised by law to use or disclose the information.

Overseas disclosure of your personal information
The NDIS Commission does not generally disclose personal information to overseas recipients. At times, the NDIS Commission website may contain links to other third-party websites outside the NDIS Commission. The NDIS Commission may collect and use Cookies to maintain contact with you as a user of our website. A Cookie is a small file supplied by the NDIS Commission and stored by your web browser software on your computer when you access the NDIS Commission website.
