Behaviour support practitioners
A behaviour support practitioner is someone who can do behaviour support assessments and write behaviour support plans.
The Commission says they are allowed to do this work.
Specialist behaviour support providers
A Specialist behaviour support provider provides behaviour support.
They help to understand a participant’s behaviour and meet their needs.
They are registered with the Commission. We also call them behaviour support providers.
A behaviour support practitioner works for the specialist behaviour support provider.
They work with the participant to make a behaviour support plan. They involve other support people too.
A Behaviour support plan (BSP) says how to support the participant to have a good life.
It helps people understand the participant's behaviour and meet their needs.
Implementing provider
An implementing provider is an NDIS provider who uses a regulated restrictive practice.

- how Implementing providers provide evidence of authorisation
- how Implementing providers complete monthly reports.
