Providers can continue to operate the NDIS digital platform during this process.

1. Awareness

Provider is aware that changes for NDIS digital platform providers, including mandatory registration under a new registration group, will take effect from 1 July 2026

2. Preparation

Provider understands NDIS digital platform provider obligations including new conditions on registration.

3. Registration updated

The NDIS Commission will update relevant registration certificates and add a registration group '0137 NDIS digital platform service'.

4. Conditions of registration apply

New conditions of registration will apply from 1 January 2027.

New conditions for registration group 0137 NDIS Digital Platforms Service from 1 January 2027

  • Worker clearance for people providing supports via a digital platform*. All workers must have valid worker clearance before offering to provide NDIS supports on the digital platform. They cannot 'work on application'.

     
  • Digital platform providers must check and display information if a banning order against the person is in force within the meanings of the NDIS Act 2013, the Aged Care Act 2024, and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018.
     
  • Digital platforms must check and display information on credentials or qualifications of the person, and general information on the processes of checking that information.

* People providing supports via a digital platform: A person or persons who uses a digital platform to provide NDIS supports that can be provided under participants’ plan.
