On 27 November 2023 a banning order was made under sections 73ZN(2)(a)(i) and 73ZN(2)(a)(iii) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act) permanently prohibiting Hawa Omar from being:
- Key personnel as defined under section 11A of the NDIS Act for any NDIS provider; and
- Involved in the management of NDIS plan funds to people with disability, including in a consultancy capacity.
The banning order is effective from 5:00 pm on 30 November 2023.
