    On 14 July 2026, a banning order was made under paragraph 73ZN (2A) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013. The banning order was made on reasonable grounds that Lana Hood: 

    a) is not suitable to be so involved, having regard to any matters prescribed by the National Disability Insurance Scheme rules for the purposes of this paragraph; and
    b) has not previously been an NDIS provider; and
    c) has not previously been employed or otherwise engaged by an NDIS provider; and
    d) has not previously been a member of the key personnel of an NDIS provider.
     

    Specifically, the order prohibits Lana Hood from being engaged in the following NDIS activities:
     

    a) Undertake employment in a position of key personnel of a NDIS Provider (registered or unregistered) where activities involve the management of NDIS Provider supports and services, or the administration under a Participant’s Plan; 

    b) Engaging in activities involving the administration and management of funding for supports under a Participant’s Plan; 

    c) Provide or be involved or assist in the provision, to any NDIS participant, of any support or supports under a Participant’s Plan; 

    d) Provide or be involved or assist in the provision, to any NDIS participant, of any service or services under a Participant’s Plan; 

    e) Engaging in or be employed by consultancy services that provide the management of, or advice to NDIS Providers involved in the establishment of NDIS Provider Registrations, or the sale of established NDIS businesses; 

    f) Engaging in or be employed by an Approved Quality Auditor accredited under the NDIS Act. 

    NDIS Participant means a participant within the meaning of section 9 of the NDIS Act. 

    NDIS Provider means a NDIS Provider within the meaning of section 9 of the NDIS Act. 

    Participant’s Plan means a plan within the meaning of section 9 of the NDIS Act. 

    Key personnel means key personnel within the meaning of section 9 of the NDIS Act.

    This banning order takes permanent effect on 5.00pm AEST on 28 July 2026 and operates across all States and Territories of Australia.
