Compliance and enforcement actions

The banning order issued on 10 November 2025 to Ms Michelle Mellema was varied under section 100(6) of the NDIS Act. The variation amended the duration of the banning order to a period of 2 years (24 months). The varied banning order is issued under section 73ZN(2)(a)(i) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cth) temporarily prohibiting Ms Michelle Mellema from being engaged in the following NDIS activities or supports or services for a period of 2 years: 

a) providing or personally being involved in the provision, to any NDIS participant, of any support or services under a participant’s plan; or 

b) engaging in any work or providing or performing any supports or services (whether paid or unpaid), for or on behalf of any NDIS Provider. 

This banning order takes effect 3 February 2026 at 5.00pm AEST and operates for a period of 2 years, with an end date of 5:00pm AEST on 18 November 2027, across all States and Territories of Australia.
