A banning order originally issued on 23 August 2024 has been varied.
The banning order made under sections 73ZN(2)(a)(i) and 73ZN(2)(a)(iii) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act) was varied under Section 73ZO(2)(a) of the NDIS Act, permanently prohibiting Denise Jayne Clissold engaging in the following NDIS supports and services to people with a disability:
- Engaging in activities that a member of the key personnel of an NDIS provider would undertake, to the extent that those activities relate to NDIS supports or services.
- Engaging in activities that include the management or provision of accommodation to people with disability in the NDIS.
- Engaging in activities that include the submission, modification, or cancellation of payment requests through the NDIA’s provider portal or indirectly via third parties (such as plan managers), in respect of people with a NDIS support plan.
- Engaging in activities that would be undertaken as a consultant, to the extent that those activities relate to NDIS supports or services.
- Engaging in activities that would be undertaken as an auditor for an NDIS provider, to the extent that those activities relate to NDIS supports or services.
The banning order takes effect on 4 July 2025 at 5.00pm AEST and operates across all States and Territories of Australia.
