On 17 April 2025 a banning order was made under 73ZN(2)(a)(iii) of the NDIS Act of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013. The banning order prohibits Tanikah-Jemma Helen Thompson from providing supports or services to people with a disability in the NDIS. The banning order restricts Ms Thompson for a period of four (4) years from:
- Being engaged, or otherwise employed, in any role where you are solely responsible for the provision of any NDIS supports or services to NDIS participants; and
- Having contact with NDIS participants without supervision, as part of the provision of NDIS supports or services.
In this instance:
- Contact includes physical contact, face-to-face contact, oral communication, written communication and electronic communication; and
- Supervision means direct and in-person observation.
The banning order is effective from 5pm ACST on 17 April 2025 for a period of four (4) years and operates across all States and Territories of Australia.
