On 3 October 2019 a banning order was made under section 73ZN(2)(a)(iii) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 prohibiting Ronald John Matthews from providing disability supports and services, directly or indirectly, to NDIS-funded participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme, for a period of 2 years, effective from 5:00 pm on 4 October 2019.
