Compliance and enforcement actions

On 7 November 2025, a banning order was made under section 73ZN(2)(a)(i) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 

The banning order prohibits Ms Maria Routh for a period of 1 year from engaging in any activities relating to the provision of delivering supports and services to people with disability, including NDIS funded participants and in particular, the following: 

1. Providing, being involved or assisting in the provision of any supports or services to any National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participant under an NDIS participant’s plan.
2. Engaging in any work or providing or performing any supports or services (whether paid or unpaid), for or on behalf of any NDIS Provider.

The banning order was made on the basis that a delegate of the Commissioner reasonably believes that:

• Ms Routh has contravened the section 73V of the NDIS Act

This Order takes effect on 12 November 2025 at 5:00pm AEDT for one (1) year and operates across all States and Territories of Australia.
