On 30 April 2025, a temporary banning order was made under section 73ZN(2)(a)(i) of the NDIS Act, which came into effect at 5:00pm AEST on 16 May 2025, restricting Briarsha Lewis from providing unsupervised supports or services to people with disability in the NDIS for a period of twelve (12) months.

After this, the NDIS Commission received information that suggested Briarsha Lewis claimed for supports and services to a NDIS participant.

After failing to receive any acknowledgement or response to the Notice of Intention, the NDIS Commission proceeded with varying the banning order to a permanent banning order, in accordance with section 73ZO(1) of the NDIS Act.

The Order is varied prohibiting Briarsha Lewis from being engaged in the provision of supports or services to NDIS participants permanently. This variation takes effect on 17 October 2025 at 5:00pm AEDT permanently and operates across all States and Territories of Australia.
