There are multiple roles relevant to worker screening available in the NDIS Commission portals. These allow an organisation to give their staff access to the portal functionality that relates to their work.
Worker screening roles in the registered providers portal
There are three roles relevant to worker screening that are available to registered providers in the registered providers portal.
Registrant
Responsible for managing and varying an NDIS Provider's current scope of registration as well as managing email preferences for the organisation.
Worker screening officer
Responsible for managing the provider's workers.
Authorised access delegate
Responsible for approving system access requests for the account. Can also remove user access or submit an access request for other users to this account.
Worker screening roles in the unregistered providers portal
There are two roles relevant to worker screening that are available to unregistered providers in the unregistered providers portal.
Worker screening for organisations
Responsible for managing the organisation's workers. If your organisation is a worker screening employer, you can use this role to:
- find your employer ID number
- generate your employer ID document
- verify worker screening checks
- link workers to your organisation
- unlink workers from your organisation
- update account Information:
- add or update key contacts
- change business information
- change email preferences
- view notifications in your inbox.
Authorised access delegate
Responsible for approving system access requests for the employees in this organisation. They can also remove user access or submit an access request for other users to this account.
Worker screening roles in the self-managed participants portal
There are two roles relevant to worker screening that are available to participants who access the self-managed participants portal.
Worker screening for NDIS participants
Responsible for managing your workers. Request this if you require access to the NDIS worker screening database as an NDIS Participant, or a nominee on behalf of a participant.
This allows you to:
- find your Participant worker screening ID number – the 7-digit number that can be given to your workers to apply for their worker screening check, and is the equivalent to an Employer ID number
- generate your Participant WS ID document
- verify worker screening checks
- link workers to you
- unlink workers from you
- update participant or nominee information
- view notifications in your inbox.
Authorised access delegate
Responsible for approving access account requests for nominees on behalf of the participant. They can also remove access accounts or request for other users to have access to this account.
