Changes coming to how providers prove their identity
The NDIS Commission is improving how we check the identity of providers that use our portals.
Strong identity checks help us keep participants, providers and the NDIS safe against scams, fraud and data breaches.
From 7 December 2025, providers will need to transition from using Provider Digital Access (PRODA) to a combination of Digital ID (myID) and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) to access NDIS Commission portals:
- myID is the Australian Government’s Digital ID app.
- RAM is an authorisation service that allows an individual to act on behalf of a provider online when linked with their myID.
We encourage providers to get set up with myID and RAM now to minimise disruption later.
Providers will continue accessing the NDIS Commission portals through PRODA during the transition period, scheduled to end by 30 September 2026. Following the transition period, the option to access the portals using PRODA will be removed.
NDIS participants who self-manage or engage plan managers to assist with management of their NDIS plan and access NDIS Commission portals for worker screening purposes will continue to use PRODA until further notice.
This change does not and will not replace NDIS worker screening checks.
