The Government of Western Australia has announced this deferral of Western Australia’s transition to the NDIS to allow providers to focus on critical support issues for people with disability during the COVID-19 recovery period.
Until 1 December, your current state or territory requirements for quality and safeguards will continue to apply. The links at the bottom of this page may be helpful.
The NDIS Commission Western Australia office will be located at:
Level 1, 200 St Georges Terrace
Perth WA 6000
State Director Western Australia
Samantha Jenkinson has been appointed Western Australia State Director. She brings to the role a wealth of experience in the disability sector, including case management, advocacy, research, and executive roles with the WA and Victorian governments and not-for-profit organisations. She also heavily campaigned for the establishment of the NDIS and participated on expert advisory panels with the NDIA. Samantha leaves the role of Executive Director of People with Disabilities WA to take up this role.
Provider information session
Unfortunately, due to current health and safety concerns around COVID-19, we are unable to deliver face-to-face information sessions for providers in Western Australia about the upcoming transition to the NDIS Commission.
We are continuing to monitor the situation, and will announce details of information sessions as soon as possible.
