Compliance and enforcement
Monitoring and compliance is important to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s work as a regulator.
The NDIS Commission uses a range of compliance tools to prevent and address breaches of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (the Act) including education, and working closely with other complaints and regulatory bodies. The Act also provides the NDIS Commission with a range of compliance and enforcement powers, including compliance notices and court-based outcomes.
The NDIS Commission Compliance and Enforcement Policy provides more information about the approach of the NDIS Commission to maximise compliance with the Act, and outlines the NDIS Commission's compliance and enforcement functions, strategies and tools.
The NDIS Commission Infringement Notice Policy provides background information and guidance on the NDIS Commission’s general approach to the use of infringement notices as a compliance and enforcement tool.
