Quality Support for Children
We have collaborated with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to develop Quality Support for Children, a guide that outlines what quality practice looks like when it comes to the provision of NDIS supports and services to children.
It may be a useful tool for parents and guardians of children receiving early childhood intervention, therapy supports, or behaviour support. It may also be of interest to providers of these supports.
In this guide you will learn:
- What quality support for children looks like
- What providers should and should not do
- Questions parents and guardians can ask when choosing providers.
Quality Support for Children includes detailed information about provider obligations and examples of what quality practice does and does not look like in relation to:
- Decision-making
- Privacy and dignity
- Safety checks
- Competent and professional services
- Early childhood supports
- Specialist behaviour support
- Integrity, honesty and transparency
