Provider registration (NDIS Participants)

A new registration process for providers under the Commission will help providers meet nationally consistent standards in the supports and services they deliver to NDIS participants.

Existing providers in New South Wales and South Australia who were registered with the NDIA immediately before 30 June 2018 are now registered under the Commission, with other states and territories to follow in coming years.

The new arrangements will, over time, replace the current quality assurance checks in each state and territory.

By 2020, there will be a single registration and regulatory system for providers across Australia, giving people with disability, their families, and their carers peace of mind that they can expect the same standards of supports and services wherever they live.

The NDIS Practice Standards and the Commission’s registration process will set the quality expectations for NDIS providers, while supporting providers to maintain or improve their level of quality.
