Make it Known, Make it Better
NDIS participants have the right to be safe and to receive quality services from the providers and workers they choose to support them under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) has developed a series of videos, and complementary posters, to empower people with disability to recognise what good and bad services and support looks like, based on the NDIS Code of Conduct.
The videos feature people with disability, their families, providers and support workers and are a product of co-design and testing. Accessible versions are available: in Auslan, 17 languages and for First Nations peoples and LGBTQIA+ communities.
NDIS participants, or their support networks, are encouraged to raise a concern or complaint with their provider or the NDIS Commission if they are not happy with the quality or safety or their NDIS funded supports or services. They can seek help from family, a friend or independent advocate if they wish.
Because when you make it known, you make it better.
