Until 1 July, Victorian requirements for quality and safeguards continue to apply. The NDIS Guide to Suitability provides guidance to providers on the requirements to be registered as an NDIS provider – including Victoria’s quality and safeguards arrangements. 


New Victorian State Director

Sonja Pase has been appointed as Victorian State Director, supporting the establishment and operation of the Victorian office, and will lead a team of Complaints, Reportable Incidents and Compliance Staff. Sonja has been an executive level manager at the Department of Social Services and most recently at the Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC).

Sonja has led the delivery of social policy programs in disability, carer, and family support services across Victoria. As Chief of Staff at the ABCC, Sonja headed up the Office of the Commissioner and was responsible for the corporate governance, reporting, media management and parliamentary liaison. Sonja has also worked in the non-government sector as National Manager at The Smith Family where her role was to expand an early literacy program across Australia, forming partnerships with community organisations and state governments.
