New Tasmanian State Director

Olivia Porter has been appointed as Tasmanian State Director, supporting the establishment and operation of the NDIS Commission in Tasmania. Olivia has a strong background in advisory and workforce development within the disability sector. She has 15 years of experience in design and provision of services for people with disability including employment, rehabilitation and best practice quality improvement. Olivia has broad ranging experience across the public sector, education and private enterprise.

Registrations open for Hobart provider information session – 21 June 2019

On June 21, the NDIS Commission and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will hold a provider information session in Hobart. Each session will feature four presentations that will cover:

  • NDIS Provider Responsibilities (NDIS Commission)
  • NDIS Commission - Behaviour Support, Complaints and Reportable Incidents (NDIS Commission)
  • Workforce and Demand (NDIA)
  • Good Payment Practices (NDIA)

Past provider information sessions

In April 2019, the NDIS Commission presented at the NDS Quality and Safeguarding Workshops in Launceston and Hobart. These sessions introduced and provided an overview of the NDIS Commission’s role and function, outlined the new quality and safeguarding arrangements, and explained the provider registration process.
