From 1 July 2019, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission will start managing quality and safeguards in the Northern Territory.

Until then, your current state or territory requirements for quality and safeguards will continue to apply. The links below may be helpful.

New Northern Territory State Director

Robyn Westerman has been appointed as Northern Territory State Director, supporting the establishment and operation of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission in the Northern Territory. Robyn has extensive experience working in the health, mental health and disability services sectors in the Northern Territory – spanning 30 years in remote Indigenous communities, and regional centres and includes hands-on clinical and operational experience as well as Management and Executive level experience in disability services.

Registration open for June 2019 provider information sessions

The NDIS Commission and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will hold provider information sessions in Darwin (12 June) and Alice Springs (18 June). Each session will feature four presentations that cover:

  • NDIS Provider Responsibilities (NDIS Commission)
  • NDIS Commission - Behaviour Support, Complaints and Reportable Incidents (NDIS Commission)
  • Workforce and Demand (NDIA)
  • Good Payment Practices (NDIA)
